Miscellaneous Woodworking
Here are a few smaller projects I’ve worked on in the past year or two. Some for fun, some for commissions.
Coat Rack
I made this quickly for my new (at the time) apartment. Quick little walnut live-edge with some store bought hardware. Swapped out the boring stainless screws for hand polished brass screws. This is the kind of live-edge I enjoy, not too crazy or dumb looking.
Paper Towel Holder
I made this for Mother’s Day. Big chunk of walnut, and some steel I had laying around. The ripper post has a walnut plug infilled too!
Shell Display Stands
These were commissioned by a local artist. The brass was very difficult to bend in such a way that it held the shells level, and at a pleasing angle. Their irregular shapes did not help one bit!
Copper Hurricane Tea Lights
I was bored one day and made these. Heavy gauge copper reflects the tea-lights for a very nice warm glow. Some of these are actually for sale in my SHOP. Wayyyy more difficult to make than you’d think.
Jewellery Storage Cases
Commissioned by my good friend Claire @ AnimalStone, these were built around store bought small parts storage bins. They are lockable, and stackable, and can be strapped to a hand cart and wheeled around easily.
Custom Star Shaped Canvas Stretchers
Now these were a bit of a mind fuck to make, but a fun process nonetheless! My friend Yan (https://yanwenchang.com/) commissioned me to make these star shaped boys for a project of hers.
